Resumen:
In this study we analyze the clinical assessment to distinguish spasmodic dysphonia from muscular tension dysphonia. Basic clinical history, physical examination voice pathologist assessment, objective voice analysis, MRI of the brain, laryngeal EMG, videostrolaryngoscopy and laboratory test are studied. Different maneuvers that  help to distinguish abductor than adductor spasmodic dysphonia are discussed. Finally a set of acoustic parameters are proposed as characteristics for a pattern recognition approach.
