Mapeo de mineralización tipo stockwork con sensor Aster, Distrito Minero Cerro Áspero, Sierra de Comechingones, Córdoba

Resumen:
The identification ofstockwork-type mineralizations in the northern portion of the Cerro AsperoMining District (Sierra de Comechingones) was possible by using ASTER sensordata. In this contribution we applied different digital image processingmethods in order to obtain a precise delimitation and the mapping of thesemineralizations. Supervised Classification seemed to be the most effectivedigital technique for this purpose. In the obtained Thematic Map it waspossible to well distinguish the development and extension of the stockworkmineralization within an area of approximately 60 km2. The ASTER processing inconjunction with geophysical data and field evidences, permitted to corroboratethat the stockwork formation postdated the emplacement of Los Cerros Pluton,the most evolved granitic unit of the Cerro Aspero batholith. It is hereproposed that the studied hydrothermal processes would not be associated withthe Cerro Aspero outcropping plutons, otherwise they could derive from theevolution of non-exhumed granitic intrusions related to the Achalian orogeny.
