Resumen:
The inflationary paradigm is an important cornerstone of theconcordance cosmological model. However, standard inflationcannot fully address the transition from an earlyhomogeneous and isotropic stage, to another one lacking suchsymmetries corresponding to our present universe. In previousworks, a self-induced collapse of the wave function has beensuggested as the missing ingredient of inflation. Most of theanalysis regarding the collapse hypothesis has been solely focusedon the characteristics of the spectrum associated to scalarperturbations, and within a semiclassical gravity framework. Inthis Letter, working in terms of a joint metric-matterquantization for inflation, we calculate, for the first time, thetensor power spectrum and the tensor-to-scalar ratio correspondingto the amplitude of primordial gravitational waves resulting fromconsidering a generic self-induced collapse.
