Resumen:
The seismic lines of the YPF Sierra del Valle Fértil Project (produced around 1978) of the Southern part of the Campo de Talampaya in the Ischigualasto - Ischichuca Basin (Triassic, La Rioja Province, Argentina) were integrated with outcrop information of correlate units that cropp out in the surrounding ranges. The Lower Gondwana rifting (Guandacol, Tupe and Patquía Formations) is defined by a set of NE-SW and NW-SE normal faults partially reactivated in the Triassic (the Talampaya and Tarjados Formations and Agua de la Peña Group). The Neogene fillings was controlled by a new set of N-S faults, a processes that ended as a foreland deformation in the Pliocene.
