Role of substrate and interfaces in the electronic and magnetic properties of oxide-based magnetoresistive devices

A strong development of oxides-based multifunctional materials has taken place in the last yearsdue to their fundamental interest and potential applications. In particular, the field of spintronicshas taken advantage of the rich variety of physical properties of these materials, i.e.: magnetic, electric, optical to study new phenomena and introducing "novedosos" devices.  In this talk, I will present a review about the more recent results obtained in the fieldof spintronics related to oxide-based devices. From the giant magnetoresistance effect tospin-filter. These materials present a strong correlation between their magnetic and electronic transport properties.
