Resumen:
ABSTRACT: At least eigth stratigraphic discontinuities, D1 to D7, has been recognized in the marine-clastic Eo-Paleozoic succession from the Cuyo Precordillera, western Argentina: D1 (Guandacólica), D2 (Villicúmica), D4 (Oclóyica) and D6 (Lochkoviana), all these considered the first order, D3 of the second order, and D5 and D7 condensed surfaces that involving hard ground surfaces and important hiatus. Their local correlations and origin are discussed and analysed.
