An Approach to the Problem of Partial-State Estimation in Non-linear Adaptive Observers

In this paper a new approach for designing adaptive observers for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems in nonlinear steady state oscillations is presented. The observer design involves gains separately for measurable errors of the states and parameters resulting in an adaptive high gain observer. Besides the effect of the system behaviour in the persistency of excitation and in the asymptotic convergence of states and parameters is analyzed. A numerical example of a system of third order illustrates the features of the proposed algorithm.
