Resumen:
Al coatings with thickness (x) up to 20 microns were deposited by DC sputtering at about 375 K on both sides of amorphous metglass 2605 S2 precursor melt-spun ribbons. Spin reorientation effect, induced by magnetoelastic effect, was clearly observed in the Al/Metglass2605 S2/Al trilayer samples by measuring the 2 and 5 line intensities of the M¨ossbauer spectra obtained at different temperature. A magneto-mechanical coefficient that measure the rate of spin reorientation with respect to the temperature was obtained and these are equal to -0.15 o/K and and -0.28◦/K for the Al thickness of 5 and 20 microns, respectively. At 12 K, oriented spin fraction relative with the ribbon plane can be controlled by adjusting the Al thickness. A phenomenological model has been used to estimate in-plane magnetic anisotropy lower than 3 kJ/m3 for the Metglass 2605 S2 ribbons. 10% of the ribbon volume is associated with irregularities, defects and so on and it has energy anisotropy higher than 20 kJ/m3.
