Resumen:
In this work we present a study made at Tandar Laboratory to characterize the sensitivity to the water column height of some parameters used for detector calibration. It is shown that these parameters are sensitive enough to know the water level in the detector tanks deployed in the field with accuracy of a few centimeters and without requiring any external dedicated device. A procedure based on the analysis of the detector data, which is being routinely collected by the Pierre Auger Observatory could serve for early detection of eventual loss of the water level. We propose that this level monitoring routine be performed automatically at CDAS by analyzing the data normally collected from the detectors.
