Resumen:
The Underground Muon Detectors of the Pierre Auger Observatory have two dif-ferent and complementary acquisition modes, the binary and the ADC or integrator.From each acquisition mode it is possible to infer the average number of muons at agiven distance to the shower axis corresponding to an extensive air shower that triggeredthe detector. In this note we develop a new method to estimate the average numberof muons at a given distance to the shower axis combining both acquisition modes.We compare the performance of the new method with the ones corresponding to theADC and binary modes used individually. The new likelihood developed can be usedto reconstruct the muon lateral distribution function of the showers.
