Resumen:
We have demonstrated that textured ceramics can be fabricated by colloidal processing in a high magnetic field [1]. However, 3 mol% of yttria stabilizing zirconia (3YTZ) is not possible to be oriented directly by this method.  Here, a preparation method of textured 3YTZ is presented by reaction sintering [2] of textured monoclinic zirconia and yttria.   At first we prepare a well-dispersed suspension of monoclinic zirconia with 3 mol% of Yttria mixed by beads milling using small beads of 0.05 mm in diameter [3,4]. Then slip casting is performed in 12 T and obtain a green body of mixture with textured monoclinic zirconia and yttria. The orientation of the monoclinic zirconia is possible due to the well-dispersion of the slurry. After heating in air without magnetic field, we obtained textured 3YTZ by the reaction sintering.
