Resumen:
Protein mutagenesis is a technique of great relevance for the understanding of the relationships between structure and function. Several mutagenesis techniques are availbable, some of which are based on PCR strategies and require the use of mutagenic oligonucleotides as primers. The introduction of sites of recognition by restriction enzymes by silent mutagenesis in the mutagenic oligonucleotides greatly simplifies the selection of clones with the mutant gene of interest. Here we describe a software that was designed to aid in the introduction of restriction sites by silent mutagenesis in the oligonucleotides.
