Resumen:
ABSTRACT The isotope composition of precipitation is a characteristic of each region. It is mainly determined by meteorological local parameters like temperature, relative humidity and amount. Precipitation represents one of the most important factors of groundwater recharge. Therefore, the knowledge and characterization of the isotope content is of great relevance when a hydrological research is initiated. As a result, systematic measurement of isotope content of precipitation in long term records became a useful tool. The measurement and record of the isotope content of the precipitation of Argentina are made by the stations of the National Network of Collectors. This work presents the results obtained at Azul Station during 10 years, from 1/1998 to 12/2007. This station is located in Azul city and is operated by the ?Instituto de Hidrología de Llanuras?. The local meteoric water line matches d2H =8d18O+13?; these data can be used like input function to local hydrologic systems. Keywords: stable isotopes, precipitation, Azul.
