Resumen:
The isotope composition of precipitation is a characteristic of each region. It is mainlydetermined by meteorological local parameters like temperature, relative humidity andamount. Precipitation represents one of the most important factors of groundwater recharge, therefore, the knowledge and characterization of the isotope content is relevant when a hydrological research is initiated. As a result, systematic measurement of isotope content ofprecipitation in long term records became a useful tool. The measurement and record of theisotope content of the precipitation of Argentina are made by the stations of the NationalNetwork of Collectors. This work presents the results obtained at Salta and Tucumánstations from 1981-1987/1998-2004 and 2001-2008 respectively. These stations are locatedin Salta and Tucumán cities. The local meteoric water lines matchd2H=(8,25±0,18)d18O+(15,08±0,96) for the first station and d2H=(8,07±0,17)d18O+(17,11±0,81) for the second one. High deuterium excesses inrainfall water seem to be related to the Low Level Jet occurrence. These data can be usedlike input function to local hydrological systems.
