Resumen:
ABSTRACT Different methods have been applied to date the mean residence time (MRT) of the baseflow in the Quequen Grande River (QGR) in the Province of Buenos Aires. These techniques include: 3H determinations, the analysis of the sinus signal of stable isotopes and the use of the code FLOWPC, the measurement of the concentration of CFCs, and the measurement of noble gases foe the water age calculation from the 3H of tritigenic origin. Results indicate the stable isotopes allow us to obtain the MRT for sub-surface translatory as a part of direct runoff flow, while CFCs are giving the MRT for baseflow. 3H general values suggest the dominance of baseflow in streamwater. Results from noble gases measurement are ambiguous in streamwater samples, but they result consistent for deep groundwater samples.
