Resumen:
ABSTACTThe first results of δ13C on soil gas CO2 in theGualeguaychú landfill reflects heterogeneity and mixing of sources. The enrichment in δ13C values coupled with higher concentrations of bicarbonate in groundwater could be explained by methane oxidation under anaerobic conditions. Enriched values can be associated with carbonate dissolution by acid leachates, responding to anatural attenuation process.
