Resumen:
The authors prove the existence of the "Kranz" syndrome in two generaof Asteraceae Dumortier: Pectis L. and Ch,·ysanthellum Richard, by using3 methods: a) leaf venation ; b) transverse leaf anatomy survey and e) massspectrometry for their 13 C/ 12 C ratios on dried leaf tissue.The species studied are : Pectis odorata Gris., P. sessiliflora (Less.) Schultz;Chrysanthellum argentinum Ariza et Cerana and Ch. tuberculatum (H. et A.)Cabrera, all of them belonging to the Argentine flora.
