Poblaciones estelares en una región de Carina: detección de estrellas masivas altamente enrojecidas.

In this work, preliminary results corresponding to a region of theGalaxy close to the direction of the Carina arm are presented. The studywas based on deep homogeneous photometric data ( ), obtained in theInter-American Observatory Cerro Tololo. Data was complemented with2MASS catalog infrared data, spectral classification of literature andown spectroscopic observations using Gemini. From our photometricanalysis of the stars in the area, we could identify three stellarpopulations. Two of them are linked with young open clusters and thethird one is characterized by a consistent set of objects with highlyreddened early stars. The spectral types determined, for a sample ofthese stars, allowed us to confirm this hypothesis, since in all casesthey were identified as massive OB type stars.
