Unveiling the End of Star Formation in u* selected massive galaxies

We present results about our galaxy spectroscopy in the SUBARU/XMM Newton Deep Survey (SXDS) field using IMACS/Magellan 6.5m at LCO with the aim of unveil the missing link at z~2 between the present day massive elliptical galaxies and gas rich starburst such as submilimiter bright galaxies at z~3. Combinig deep u,B,V,R,i,z,J,H,K 3.8-24um image database in this field we have as selection of targets which include no only Lyman Break Galaxies (LBG) at z~3 but also BX/BM galaxies at lower redshift, BzK galaxies at z~2 and Distant Red Galaxies (DRG).
