Resumen:
This work is framed within the field of Political and EnvironmentalPsychology. It aimed to analyse environmental activism as a pro-environmentalbehaviour and as a type of political participation within socio-environmentalorganizations. Specifically, it was interesting to analyse the differencesbetween a group of activists and a group of non-activists in terms of certainpsycho-social (environmental risk perception, environmental concern, socialvalues and knowledge about environmental problems) and psycho-politicalvariables (individual political participation and political ideology). 401 youngand adult citizens from the city of Córdoba (Argentina) participated in thestudy (54.6% female), of which 86.3% were non-activists. In order to achievethe goals of our research, we carried out a correlational study. With a view tofinding possible differences between the activist and non-activist groups weapplied an ANOVA and a Chi Square analysis to the psycho-social andpsycho-political variables. Results show differential psycho-social and psycho-political profiles between activists and non-activists.
