Resumen:
El Cerro” granite, Famatinian collisional magmatism in the southern of the Sierra Norte Ambargasta, Córdoba: The El Cerro granitic body occurs in the southern part of the Sierra Norte Ambargasta batholith of Córdoba, close to the town of Villa Tulumba. It cuts deformed Early Cambrian granitoids of the Pampean orogeny and gives a Rb-Sr whole-rock age of 434 ± 34 Ma. This is taken to be evidence of late Famatinian magmatisrn some 300 km east of the main arc. The body is a miarolitic leucogranite, low in K/Rb (45—82), Rb/Sr (40-70) and REEt (< 50 ppm), probably anatectic and derived from Mesoproterozoic crust (Nd model age 1.337 Ma). The parent magma was of relatively deep origin and in equilibrium with plagioclase and garnet (Eu/Eu* 0.04-0.1, [La/Yb]n 12.5-25.6 and 1O4Ga/AI 3.5-4.8).
