Resumen:
A biofertilizer is a substance which contains microorganisms which, when applied to seed, plant surfaces, or soil, colonizes the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promotes growth of the host plant (Vessey, 2003). The objective was to study the in vitro PGPR characteristics of bacterial strains isolated from a biofertilizer, and to determine growth promotion in tomato and pepper plants by spraying the leaves with the biological fertilizer. The isolated strains were characterized through  the following assays: phosphate solubilization, siderophores production, starch hidrolysis, exopolysaccharide production.....
