Resumen:
In 2016, the order Mononegavirales was emendedthrough the addition of two new families (Mymonaviridaeand Sunviridae), the elevation of theparamyxoviral subfamily Pneumovirinae to family status(Pneumoviridae), the addition of five free-floating genera(Anphevirus, Arlivirus, Chengtivirus, Crustavirus, andWastrivirus), and several other changes at the genus andspecies levels. This article presents the updated taxonomyof the order Mononegavirales as now accepted by theInternational Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV).
