Resumen:
Titania thin films with hierarchical nanopore architecture are efficient hosts for Taq polymerase, which is selectively located in large size mesopores. These biofunctional nanomaterials, highly tuned on the biomolecular length scale, are able to efficiently amplify DNA in a PCR process. The engineered pore sizes and interconnectivity at the nanoscale are key to bio-functionalization and enzyme performance.
