Resumen:
This papers reviews studies of glaciers in the Mt Aconcagua area based on remote sensing. It includes the glacier inventory of the area published in 1981, a glacier fluctuations study published in 2009 and a glacier surge event published in 2008. Techniques involved included rectificación, hand and semi-automatic glacier delineation and GIS analysis.
