Resumen:
The x-ray emission in atomic transitions from inner shell vacancy states contains important information of interest in the field of atomic physics as well as for several applications in different spectroscopic techniques.  The experimental determination of atomic parametersfrom the analysis of x-ray emission spectra is an important tool for the validation of theoretical models of atomic structure and relaxation processes. In this work, decays to M-shell vacancies in Hf, Ta, W, Pt and Au induced by electrons were studied.  To this purpose, M x-ray spectra were acquired with a wavelength dispersive spectrometer.  The measured spectra were processed by using a robust fitting procedure based on a parameter refinement method which accounts for all the spectral features related to x-ray generation, absorption and detection.
