Resumen:
This paper studies the behavior of an electric vehicle (EV) and its traction induction motor drive (IMD) when sensor faults occur. With this aim, simulations over a vehicle model with rear traction were carried out. The vehicle has a traction IMD that can switch between three different control strategies. With this conguration, it was simulated the behavior of the mechanical and electric variables during sensors faults and changes in the control strategies. The results show how important is the time spent by a fault detection and isolation module, which can be used to develop a sensor fault tolerant architecture.
