Resumen:
Ni-ZSM-11 zeolites were obtained by hydrothermal method and modified by wetness impregnation and ion-exchange technique. The molecular sieves were characterized by AA, BET, XRD and FTIR. The catalytic properties of different samples have been analyzed in the styrene oxidation with H2O2 as oxidant. The main products of reaction were benzaldehyde and styrene oxide in minor proportions. High benzaldehyde selectivity (82.98 to 84.3 mol %) was observed over the samples under study. The influence of styrene/H2O2 molar ratio and the temperature on the styrene conversion have been investigated. The catalytic properties of Ni-HZSM-11 samples prepared by wetness impregnation and ion-exchange have been analyzed. The influence of different solvents on the styrene conversion and products selectivity was also studied. Ion-exchange sample presented the major styrene conversion (20.68 mol %) at 7 h and R:1.7, 60 °C, with acetonitrile as solvent. This behavior is probably associated at the minor Brönsted/Lewis ratio compared with the impregnated Ni-zeolites.
