Resumen:
We discuss the infrared reflectivity of strontium rutena semimetallic behavior at values between 300 cm−1 and 1900 cm−1 found in this compound is in accordance with a system with relatively free carriers. Two weakabsorptions at about 450 cm−1 and 800 cm−1 are assigned to the interaction between electrons and longitudinal phonons. The reflectivity decays rather sharply up to about 3900 cm−1 and then decreases asymptotically at higher energies. From KramersKronig and multioscillator analyses we obtain the effective carrier number N* =7.07 1018 cm−3, the effective mobility μ* = 142.6 cm2V−1sec−1 and the optical conductivity σ0 = 175. 6 Ω−1cm−1.
