Resumen:
Chemical sensors are used to detect and analyze chemical compound. The operational conditions of the measuring system have a strong effect on the material response. For that reason, the exact control of the temperature and humidity is very important in order to have high precision and reproducibility in all measurements to perform. In this work we show how the humidity can affect the resistance signal of a conducting polymer (polyaniline, PANI) both in its ?clean? state and when some analyte is adsorbed by exposure of the films to air containing volatile molecules. It is shown that the initial humidity of the carrier gas has to be taken into account when the signal sign and value is processed to obtain information on the nature and concentration of the analytes.
