Resumen:
Artists such as Ana Weiss, Andrée Moch, Lía Correa Morales, and Carlota Stein, among others, occupied important positions in the art scene, later disappearing from the art historical discourse. I would like to inquire into two aspects of their trajectories. In the first place, I am interested in repositioning them in the artistic field, analyzing both their training and their spaces of professional insertion. Second, I aspire to examine what representations of femininity appear in their works and how they dialogued with their contemporaries. In this sense, I am interested in investigating the existence of certain features of resistance to the social discourses regulating sexuality and hegemonic female subjectivity.
