Resumen:
The goal of this article is twofold. First, to assess the relevance of a selection of art-historical writings shaped by feminist critiques of the discipline of art history in Spanish-speaking Latin America. To achieve this, we have selected a relatively small sample of recent and less recent books, articles and exhibition catalogues that offered new perspectives; please note that this is not a comprehensive range as it leaves out many relevant and eye-opening texts. Our second aim is to understand the importance of feminist art-historical analysis in the current social and political feminist movement in Latin America.
