Resumen:
Using satellite data to derive relations among state variables could help land surface modelling evaluation process. Areas in which remote sensing data indicate strong coupling between SM and T, should also present coupling in models. Larger coupling strength areas were observed for dry austral summers. Different and not representative landcover information used as input in models as well as in SM product could be among the reasons for the discrepancies of the results. This will be assessed in future work.
