Resumen:
Peasant and indigenous children usually carry out productive activities in the forest and countryside as part of family reproduction; however these activities aren’t usually recognized by scholars or common sense as implying knowledge. Ethnobiology, for example, has developed a full range of empiric studies about local knowledge, but such process in childhood and youth was less studied. In this paper I want to answer the following questions: what kind of knowledge can children build in their everyday social practices, even is not formalized nor expressed as such?. How is this knowledge related with scientific and school knowledge, specially with science classroom´s contents?.
