Resumen:
Physiological indicators are studied to measure the environment-induced alterations in organisms. On the Patagonian coast,Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus) are exposed topollutants and tourist activities, which can cause impacts on birds. To assess the impact of these stressors, oxidative stress and hematologicalparameters were evaluated. Parameters were analyzed inpenguins under pressure of tourism at San Lorenzo (SL) colony inPenínsula Valdés, Chubut and in penguins exposed to contaminantsdue to their proximity to the port of Puerto Deseado, Isla Quiroga(IQ), Santa Cruz.Adults and chicks displayed differences in the analyzed hematologicaland oxidative stress parameters. In both colonies, chicksshowed higher values of glycemia and cholesterol, but lower totalprotein and hematocrit values than adults (P
