Resumen:
Abstract Rhizobia specifically interact with legume roots inducing structures called nodules where the atmospheric nitrogen fixation occurs. Several bacterial polysaccharides (glucans, exopolysaccharides, lipopolysaccharides and capsular polysaccharides) have been shown to play a role during the nodulation process. In this report we perform a structural analysis of  the lipid A present in a lipopolysacharide purified from Mesorhizobium loti by UV-MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry compared with the lipid A obtained from  a mutant strain.    Keywords: Lipopolysaccharide, UV-MALDI-TOF-MS, Glycomics, GA, nor-harmane.
