Capital composition remains as an area of study where diverse questions are still open. Traditional time series analysis relies on well known and widely used techniques. Since Box-Jenkins procedures to modern state-space modelling this branch of econometrics has substantially evolved. Instead, in this short communication we explore time series data by using a rather static technique: compositional biplots. We transformed by Aitchison logratio transformations a 25-years database into five 5-year subsamples for 46 countries. Then we make biplots for each subsample and we split the subsample by the level of income of the countries. We found that the internal capital composition remain in rather similar proportions up to 1980s for the both categories of income. However, during the 1980s composition change and we discuss several possible explanations for this fact
