Resumen:
The cretaceous conchostracan faunas from southern South America are poorly known, only four species were described from Argentina and Uruguay. In contrast, the brazilian ones are known since the last century, and more than twenty seven species were described. Based on recent studies and new collections of cretaceous conchostracans from Argentina and the re-study of Migransia ferrandoi Herbst from Uruguay, additional information of new taxa are available. These new faunas from Argentina are composed by two associations, and are including members of the Families Eosestheriidae (Yanjiestheria) and Estheriina of the Neocomian from Patagonia and Fushunograptidae and the genus Estheriina and Cyzicus?codoensis (a probably Fushunograptidae) of the Albian-Aptian from San Luis-San Juan basins. According to recent contributions that consider the relations based on microfossils (ostracods, carophytes and palynomorph) between Patagonia and Brasil, the possible relationships and migration routes for cretaceous conchostacan faunas are analized.
