Resumen:
 In this paper, the effects of Pt, Pd and Ni addition into metal-hydride electrodes, on the activation process, rate capability and cycling stability were studied. The powder aggregate of Pt, Pd and Ni improves the  activation and diminishes the overpotentials of charge and discharge in the following order: Pt>Pd, Ni. The electrochemical behaviour of these electrodes was analysed in terms of  a simplified form of  a previously developed model. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements were performed to allow the validation of the model and the identification of kinetic and physicochemical parameters.
