Resumen:
Metallic nanoparticles (NPs) present enhancedlight absorption when illuminated at its plasmonicresonance, therefore producing light-controlledheat.Optical printing employs optical forces for theassembly of individual NPs in determined positionsof a substrate with nanometric precision andwith great flexibility in patterns design [1]. Theillumination of these NPs arrangements could thenproduce complex temperature fields which can beemployed in several applications, from enhancednanocatalysis to optofluidics. One of the most difficult challenges in suchsystems is to properly calibrate and characterizethe produced temperature fields with high spatialaccuracy, which is not possible using conventionalelectric methods. Here, we will present our efforts toquantify temperature increases at the single particlelevel using photoluminescence emission fromprinted particles.
