Resumen:
The inclusional complexation between anti-inflammatory pharmaceuticals and cyclodextrins was studied by spectroscopic techniques at different pH values. Specifically, the investigated drugs were: salicylic acid, piroxicam, naproxen, diclofenac and ibuprofen. The host-guest stoichiometries for the complexes, their equilibrium constants and their possible structures were determined. Different physicochemical variables were examined with the purpose of obtaining the best luminescence signals. Based on the obtained results, fluorimetric and phosphorimetric methods for the determination of the studied pharmaceuticals in organized media were developed. In the case of complex matrices such as human urine and serum, multivariate calibrations using first and second order data were applied, namely partial leastsquares (PLS-l), iterative reweighted generalized rank annihilation method (IRGRAM), parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) and self-weighted alternating trilinear decomposition (SWATLD). A comparison is presented between the results obtained in the absence and in the presence of the cyclodextrin as fluorescence enhancer.
