2´4´-dihidroxy-5´-(1´´´-dimethylallyl)-6-prenylpinocembrin was obtained from roots of Dalea elegans. Antimicrobial assays have been proved its antibacterial activity against oxacillin-sensitive and resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and antifungal activity against Candida albicans some strains of Candida glabrata, Candida krusei, Cryptococcus neoformans and strain of Trychophyton mentagrophytes, all of them clinically isolated multiressitent strains.   Indice de impacto (JCR, 2003): 0.413
