Resumen:
High strength steel in thermo-mechanical treated condition is used for parabolic spring of heavy vehicles, in which the leaves are designed based on the high strength of the steel and the induction of high compressive residual stresses on their tension loaded surfaces and sub-surfaces. The objective of this work is to study the resistance to fatigue crack initiation and early crack propagation in a 51CrV4 high-strength steel, in order to obtain the fatigue resistance properties necessary to analyze the integrity and strength of parabolic springs
