Resumen:
ABSTRACT Nardophyllum armatum Wedd o Dolichogyne armata Wedd (Asteraceae) grow wild in Sudamerica between 3650-4200 masl. In this work, we present the study of the phytochemical and biological (antioxidant and antibacterial activity) screening in different pharmaceutical preparation of aerial parts of this specie. The specimen obtained at 4200 masl showed higher flavonoid and phenolic compounds concentration than plant collected at 3650 masl. Saponin and terpenoid were detected in all samples but alkaloids were not found. All samples presented antioxidant and antibacterial activities. KEYWORDS Nardophyllum armatum Wedd, phytochemical study, antioxidant activity, antibacterial activity.
