Resumen:
Nitric oxide (NO) is a small and highly diffusible gas with a broad spectrum of biological effects. A precise and regulated NO production is involved in hormone-stimulated plant physiological responses. Here we report the NO involvement in auxin-induced root organogenesis and ABA-mediated stomatal closure. The ability of NO to act simultaneously on several unrelated biochemical circuits suggests that it might function as a synchronizing molecule in plants.
