Resumen:
PN-codes are finite sequences used in Spread Spectrum (SS) communication systems, a widely employed wireless communication technique. The selection of the best set of ?PNcodes? (PN-family) is an important issue in Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). Among the advantages of the use of chaotic sequences in DSSS are the availability of a great number of them, the ease of their generation, as well as their inherent improvement in the security of transmission. In this paper a DSSS communication system has been implemented in two Cyclone FPGAs boards, and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) has been added to the transmitted waveform in order to emulate the channel noise. The Bit Error Rate (BER) of the implemented DSSS system was evaluated showing that chaotic sequences present similar performance to the classical ones.
