Resumen:
One of the most important problems in digital electronics is the appearance of digital noise. This noise is very usually detected everyday when, for example previously to a a cell phone call. From the engineering point of view there exists regulations that must be followed by digital equipment designers must fulfill to diminish this noise below a given threshold. One of the situations proposed in the literature it is to replace signals with a sharp Fourier Spectrum (esentially delta shape spectra) by others with a flat Fourier Spectrum within a narrow region. In this presentation we analyze this solution from a basic viewpoint. A sinusoidal signal is modulated by a digital time series generated by different pseudo random noise sources. One important point is to note that a Probability Distribution Function is assigned to the Power Spectrum of the signal. The usual histogram is not able to detect any difference and the same occurs with any quantifier obtained with this PDF. On the contrary a PDF using Band and Pompe procedure is effective to identify the best solution. Fisher Information measure is the specific quantifier analyzed in detail in this work.
