Resumen:
Abstract?Embedded system design is crucial for the developmentof industry, technology, and science, and it is an area thathas significantly grown in recent years throughout Latin America, both in academia and in industry. Embedded System (ES) refersto electronic equipment with a computing core which, unlike apersonal computer, is designed to meet a specific function andis usually optimized to satisfy strict requirements of processingtime, reliability, power consumption, size, and cost. With theadvancement of research on the domains of Internet of Things(IoT), Computing Edge (CE) and Cloud Computing (CC) andtheir endless application possibilities, ESs have gained new rolesand assumed unquestionable importance in our daily lives. Inthis article, we make a brief review of the relevant literaturein the area of embedded systems in the Latin America regionduring recent years.
