Resumen:
In this work the synthesis of poly(acrylic acid)-block-polycaprolactone diblock copolymers (PAA-b-PCL) by one-pot method through simultaneous Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) and Ring Opening Polymerization (ROP) process is reported. The strategy is based on the employment of a double function compound, that act both as chain transfer agent , in the acrylic acid RAFT polymerization process and co-initiator of -caprolactone ROP process, using diphenyl phosphate as catalyst. PAA-b-PCL copolymers were obtained with conversions of both monomers close to 100%, in relatively short time. The micellar behavior of the copolymers in aqueous system was investigated and the formation of nanoaggregates with response properties to microenvironment pH variations was verified.
