Resumen:
This work involves a simple way to obtain nanoparticles of newly synthesized e-caprolactone homopolymer (PCL) and poly(dimethylsiloxane)-block-poly(e-caprolactone) copolymers (PDMS-b-PCL), synthesized by anionic ring opening polymerization (AROP). Nanoparticles were obtained by nanoprecipitation from dioxane and tetrahydrofurane solutions into cold water, obtaining nanospheres as demonstrated with nano-sizer, atomic force and scanning electron microscopy (AFM and SEM) analysis. This procedure was also repeated by loading the polymers with a hydrophobic anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid, dexamethasone, as an early approach to a new drug encapsulation system.
